Ping Pong Madness - installment #1

So the obsession for ping pong in this family runs strong for ALL members of our household (except for me). The kids both love it (more pictures and video of that to come) and it seems even our kitty Hazie enjoys the game. This video is the real deal; she just hopped up on the table with my dad and Jon and joined in the game!

Christmas Chaos

We had a wonderful time during the Christmas "break". Jon was home for most of two weeks, which was such a blessing to me and the kids. My parents also spent a week here so I was very spoiled with all the extra hands! The kids loved all the additional playmates, of course. We hosted Christmas Eve dinner for my family and our friends the Crawfords; it was a great way to usher in that most magical of days - Christmas!

Santa managed to find our house and with Maddie being almost 4, it was a very big deal. She actually heard his jingle bells when she was getting ready for bed the night before and couldn't run fast enough into her bed. She was truly afraid he would pass up our house because she wasn't asleep yet. :) It's so fun to watch the magic of make-believe with kids at this age and it's such a blessing to be on the parent side. Thankfully Santa's helpers had the bike put together BEFORE Christmas Eve...

We were also able to celebrate a belated Christmas with some of Jon's family up at his Grandpa and aunt's house in Fort Collins. The Colorado cousins had so much fun together it was nice to have Uncle Warren visiting from CA.

All in all, we could not have been more blessed at the end of 2008 and are eagerly awaiting what God has in store for us this year.

Grandma Sue and the kids at the family piano - she learned on it as a kid, my sister and I learned on it and now our kids will have the opportunity!

Santa came! Maddie got a 'big girl' bike and was riding it around the living room within minutes.

Brogan's Christmas was full of "things that go". He is definitely all boy, all the time!

What toddler doesn't want to help mom with the cleaning?!?!?

Brogan and the rest of us enjoyed the sunny Christmas Day weather....
